I’ve knocked around a bit but have spent the last 27 years resisting the forces of ignorance at Pitt – Johnstown, which is a degree-granting branch campus of the University of Pittsburgh. Contrary to the prediction of my ΑΧΣ brothers, I didn’t “live and die in Dixie” … yet. Johnstown is a true rust-belt town with empty steel mills and closed coal mines. The main activity in this area is waiting for manna crumbs to be raked off the government table by our local congressman. However, the college is a bright spot where we educate the kiddies so they can get out of town.
Mary Hays and I have two children and one grandchild and are looking forward to our son’s marriage this spring. Retirement is close at hand, but not yet
