JOHN A MATUSKA

We learn about John from an email received from Lew Koppel:

"I was followed to Columbia in 1964, I think, by John Matuska, who became my very good friend and apartment-mate. He, too, went to do chemical physics. It is bittersweet for me to recall that I had some role in getting John to that school, because (who knows?) he was accepted to one of the Enrico Fermi summer institutes in Italy (I think in the summer of 1966), where he fell to his death in a mountain-climbing accident."
