Undergraduate - Chemistry

Frank Miles writes:

"My membership in Alpha Chi Sigma at Illinois was quite brief (initiated fall 1960, left spring 1961 after graduating with a B.S.) and I never lived at 606 W. Ohio. (I grew up in Urbana and lived at home while attending the U. of I.) Accordingly, I doubt that many members of Zeta Chapter would remember me.

"I did not leave Alpha Chi Sigma when I left Illinois. From 1961 to 1964, while I was a graduate student in chemistry at UC Berkeley, I was an active member of Sigma Chapter and lived in the chapter house.

"My professional career is pretty well summarized by the web page where you found me. I would add only 2 things: (1) From 1965 to 1968 I was Assistant Professor of Chemistry at UC Santa Barbara. (2) I was in the Mathematics Department at California State University, Dominguez Hills from 1972 to my retirement in 2001. I have continued to teach part-time at CSUDH since my retirement. I still look pretty much like the picture below, but with gray in the hair (where there is hair to begin with) and more pounds around the middle."
